eBay Can Be Your Ticket to Collectible Fishing Tackle
Everyday there is more of a demand on collectible fishing tackle such as lures, rods, and reels. Many people have a hard time figuring out the value of the findings. The best way to start is by going to eBay and using the “Completed Listings” feature. This is a free service and you can see the price of similar items that have sold in the last 30 days.
You can use this feature by simply going to eBay and typing in the item that you would like to search for in the box provided. You can then look under completed listings and this will show you the result for all the items that match your criteria within the last 30 days.
The only downside to this feature is that it only searches in the listing titles. It is better if you use a broader name than if you use something specific.
You can use these following tips to help with your antique lures, rods, and reels:
- Did that item sell?
- What kind of condition was the item in? (This matters a lot unless you have a super rare find.)
- Is the model that sold the same as the one you have?
- Were there a lot of bidders?
There are other ways to appraise an item, but this is one of the easiest and all you need is a computer and a internet connection. Once you use eBay, you could then go to an actual collector or store and get the item appraised as a backup plan.
